Subpart S is the regulation that covers
OSHA electrical safety training requirements to keep employees safe around workplace electricity. Electrical safety training teaches safe practices for those expected to work with electric equipment and installations.
To protect workers against serious electrocution hazards such as death and burns, OSHA requires significant electrical safety work training under Subpart S. There are training regulations for both "qualified" workers (those who contact with electrical equipment exposes them to the greatest hazards) and "unqualified" workers (those who ordinarily would have little exposure to electricity). Ground fault interruption protection and controlling electrical hazards are common subjects of OSHA's electrical safety training regulations.
