National Summary

A Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) is a multistep process in which a job or task is broken down into basic steps. Each basic step is analyzed for hazards. Then safe practices are developed to eliminate the hazards associated with each basic job step. The job hazard analysis process results in detailed written procedures for safely completing many tasks within the workplace.
