National Summary

The importance of foot protection on the job is revealed by the injury statistics. Each year, there are tens of thousands of disabling workplace foot injuries, plus many more to toes. OSHA requires protective footwear (29 CFR 1910.136) whenever employees are "working in areas where there is a danger of foot injuries due to falling or rolling objects, or objects piercing the sole, and where such employee's feet are exposed to electrical hazard."
