National Summary

To protect worker safety, OSHA has detailed requirements on the use of explosives and blasting agents in construction operations. First and foremost, only authorized and qualified personnel are allowed to handle explosives and blasting agents. Employers are also required to follow specific storage, marking, equipment, transportation and procedural requirements when conducting blasting operations.
