National Summary
While there are no specific OSHA rules for office safety, most offices--like any other workplace--are covered by any applicable OSHA standards that might apply. These might include hazard communication (if there are hazardous chemicals present, even in small amounts), housekeeping, fire safety, etc. In addition, offices are covered by the "General Duty" clause of the OSH Act, requiring employers to provide a workplace free from recognized hazards that could cause death or serious injury. Such hazards include musculoskeletal disorders and slip, trip, and fall hazards.
