First Aid (Construction)
National Summary

First aid includes any one-time treatment and follow-up for observation of minor injuries, including cuts, abrasions, bruises, first-degree burns, sprains, and splinters. Injuries or illnesses requiring only first aid are commonplace. Construction employers must ensure the ready availability of medical personnel for advice on matters of health in the workplace. Job sites should have a well-stocked, weatherproof first-aid kit and meet additional requirements based on the specifics of site.
