The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has cited Philadelphia Energy Solutions for serious violations of the process safety management (PSM) standard and proposed $132,600 in penalties.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) plans to conduct an updated study into the factors in commercial motor vehicle (CMV) crashes. In a January 15 request for information, the agency asked for public comment on how best to design and conduct a study—the Large Truck Crash Causal Factors Study (LTCCFS)—identifying factors contributing to reportable large truck crashes.

January 15, 2020 (Final Rule) - The U.S. Department of Labor (Department) is publishing this final rule to adjust for inflation the civil monetary penalties assessed or enforced by the Department, pursuant to the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act of 1990 as amended by the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Improvements Act of 2015.
