The agency recently cited a bar, a restaurant, and two home improvement stores for exposing employees to risk of infection.

While the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has yet to issue a federal emergency temporary standard (ETS) for workplace COVID-19 exposures, Michigan has extended its COVID-19 ETS through the fall. The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) announced the extension of Michigan’s emergency COVID-19 rules through October 14.

NIOSH has released a Worker Well-Being Questionnaire (WellBQ) designed to measure worker well-being. The freely available survey instrument is intended to help employers, policymakers, wellness practitioners and researchers, and workers themselves understand workers' well-being and target interventions to improve it.

On April 9, the White House announced President Joe Biden's nomination of Doug Parker to head the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Parker currently is chief of California’s Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA).
