The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) cited tank railcar cleaning and repair provider Dana Rail Care for workplace safety and health violations at its facility in Wilmington, Delaware. The company faces $371,276 in penalties.

Employers could do more with existing technologies to reduce worker fatalities, according to a report released by the National Safety Council (NSC). “Safety Technology 2020: Mapping Technology Solutions for Reducing Serious Injuries and Fatalities in the Workplace” looks at the hazardous workplace situations that most often lead to fatalities, contributing risk factors, and the environment, health, and safety technologies that professionals see as potentially effective.

February 24, 2020 (Final Rule) - FMCSA amends its Hazardous Materials Safety Permit regulations to incorporate by reference the April 1, 2019, edition of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance's (CVSA) "North American Standard Out-of-Service Criteria and Level VI Inspection Procedures and Out-of-Service Criteria for Commercial Highway Vehicles Transporting Transuranics and Highway Route Controlled Quantities of Radioactive Materials as defined in 49 CFR part 173.403."
