Excerpt from "New Hazard Communication Standard: Integrate Your Chemical Hygiene Plan Before the June 1 Deadline"
Since 1990, OSHA has required facilities engaged in the use of chemicals in a laboratory to develop and implement a written chemical hygiene plan (CHP). In 2012, the revised hazard communications standard (HCS) threw a major compliance curve ball at facilities. The final compliance deadline, which passed June 1, 2016, requires the training of employees on newly identified physical or health hazards and updating of all alternative workplace labels. Are you and your employees fully in compliance? Are you sure? In this on-demand webinar, presenter Michael Lawrence, principal of Summit Safety Technologies, will provide a practical approach for ensuring that you’re meeting your compliance obligations under CHP rules.
