A Las Vegas-based trade show and exposition contractor is facing proposed fines of $91,000, including one willful violation of OSHA standards.

According to the agency, an employee of another company working at Chicago's McCormick Place Convention Center sustained a severe foot injury. An employee of the trade show business, who was operating a forklift, allegedly struck him.

Even after the incident, OSHA says the Las Vegas company failed to train or check the certification of the forklift operator.

The willful violation was for failing to ensure powered industrial truck operators are trained. According to OSHA, the trade show business has been inspected 26 times since 1993 and has received 74 citations.
