Choose booths, demos, and information that reflect your culture, safety and health priorities, and company culture. Options could include back care, ergonomics, hazard communication, alternative treatments, emergency preparedness, and slips and falls.

Some employers use fairs as an opportunity to introduce new equipment and get workers’ feedback. The experts say presenting information isn’t enough—let employees get their hands on that fire extinguisher to see how it really works.

If you invite external vendors to your fair, be specific about what you want from them. Encourage them to keep their presentations active and engaging. Raffles, prizes, and giveaways can help. Be sure to canvas your employees after the fact to get their reactions and recommendations for future fairs.
