FMCSA proposes revised vision standard

49 CFR 578 - Civil Penalties
January 14, 2021 (Final Rule) -
DOT has issued an interim final rule amending the relevant regulatory text accordingly and requesting comment on a petition received on October 2, 2020 for rulemaking from the Alliance for Automotive Innovation regarding when to apply an increase to the civil penalty rate applicable to automobile manufacturers that fail to meet applicable corporate average fuel economy (CAFE) standards.
