Step-By-Step Guide to Safety Training Resources
This guide offers six steps to help you develop a comprehensive, OSHA-compliant training program at your facility and provides links to the essential resources you need to complete each step.
Step 1: Assess your training needs.
Training the Trainer 30-Minute Course shows you how to assess training needs at your workplace and identify training objectives to meet these needs.
Training Needs Assessment Checklist helps you determine the hazards and conditions that require worker training.
Job Hazard Analysis Guide provides step-by-step instructions to identify workplace hazards and determine who should be trained, and how, when, and where training should take place.
The OSHA Training Requirements Chart (web version or downloadable Word document) helps you determine which OSHA standards require training, the required training frequency, and trainer qualifications for each standard. To find state-specific information, select your state from the drop-down menu near the top of the page.
Step 2: Determine which employees need training.
